Darko Špoljarić named VP of Artificial Intelligence

We are excited to announce that our fellow and principal software engineer, Darko Špoljarić, is stepping into a new role as VP of our AI division.

In this position, Darko will assist Notch employees in harnessing the power of AI by developing capabilities through various educational initiatives, internal proofs of concept, and ongoing research.

He will also help identify business opportunities to incorporate AI into products and services for both existing and new customers, enabling their users to reach new levels of productivity.

Darko’s career demonstrates a strong foundation in enterprise software development, with 15 years of experience in Java, including roles as a software engineer and team lead at major Croatian tech companies. He is a certified Agile coach and holds one of only 15 Certified Scrum Professional certificates in Croatia. Along with his development and coaching skills, Darko showed an early interest in machine learning, completing Andrew Ng’s foundational course in 2016.

This appointment underscores a firm commitment to making AI our main strategic focus. Our goal as a company is not just to keep pace with AI advances but to lead them and demonstrate their benefits to our customers.
