Bringing real-time control to Belcar’s compound and pool operations

Notch helped Belcar turn paper-based work into a clear, real-time control of compounds and pool operations, using Angular and .NET., increasing profitability and optimizing workload estimation.

CLIENT NAME Belcar
INDUSTRY Automotive
TECHNOLOGY Angular, .NET
SERVICES MVP
DURATION 2025 - ongoing
LOCATION Belgium
The Client

Belcar provides comprehensive fleet and pool management services for its clients, handling physical vehicle operations at their compounds such as storage, inspections, and repairs, alongside administrative tasks like documents handling and transport. The key was to enable real-time control of compounds and pool operations.

The Challenge

Belcar’s compounds ran on paper, Excel, and legacy tools, making it hard to know where each car was, which services were done, who did them, and what to invoice, despite already modernizing its end-of-contract (EOC) platform.

The Solution

Notch designed and built RPS and RBO (Registration of Parking & Services, and Registration Back Office) on a new microservices architecture, giving blue-collar workers a mobile app to register every movement and service, and back-office teams a single place to manage workflows, users, and history.

Project Goals
  1. 1
    Real-time vehicle visibility
See every car’s exact location, status, and history at any moment.
  2. 2
    Paperless service tracking
Replace manual notes and Excel with digital task registration.
  3. 3
    Traceable, billable work
Link each task to who did it, when, and what to invoice.
  4. 4
    Flexible client workflows
Configure per-client task flows without changing the codebase.
  5. 5
    Shared data across all applications
Reuse vehicle and order data in both RPS/RBO and other applications.
  6. 6
    Future-proof architecture
Move to secure, modular microservices on modern tech.

    Business process consulting

Guided, systematic walkthroughs of the operational areas, observing real-time work, activities, and step‑by‑step process execution.

    02
    User research

Defining the RPS/RBO scope, producing detailed functional, technical, and UX specifications for all user groups.

    03
    Minimum viable product

Building RPS and RBO MVP in sprints, continuously validating flows with the client’s ICT and operations.

    04
    Handover & next steps

Delivering the agreed scope, preparing documentation and test scripts, while supporting the client as they test, plan go-live, and extend the platform in new projects.

    The Product

Belcar’s RPS is a responsive web app for scanning QR codes, starting and stopping tasks, updating parking locations, and logging who did what, where, and when, while RBO is the admin console for configuring workflows, users, and registrations – both running on the same microservices backbone as the EOC platform.

    Results

    • 1

Improved data collection & enabled proper reporting due to digital task registration

    • 2

Optimized workload estimation for the upcoming period due to enablement of historical data
