The Client

STRABAG is an European-based technology partner for construction services, offering innovative solutions for even the most complex projects. They built their way up over 100 years ago, and now are present in Europe, as well as Canada, Chile, and further… With over 79,000 workers worldwide, they are pursuing a clear goal together with strong partners: to design, build and operate construction projects in a way that protects the climate and conserves resources..

Client Challenge

However, operating on multiple continents and with that number of people through a number of different pools of information made simple tasks such as approvals complicated and time-consuming. The main challenge was the complexity of the data and infrastructure of the current ERPs, as well as the different technologies they were built on, accessible only via multiple Excel sheets and approvals pushed through several phone calls.

The Product

Digital Cockpit is a web application that works as a one-stop shop with aggregated data, a real-time information pool for production operations and a data center that brought STRABAG’s operations into the digital future. All data is now fully automated, transparent, and accessible anytime and anywhere, from Controllers on screens to management on tablets, from production, storage, and transport to approvals and reporting, creating the foundation for STRABAG’s construction chain.

Gero Mosser Strabag Notch Testimonial Case Studies

Gero Mosser

Project Lead at STRABAG

“We chose Notch as our partner for the development of a digitisation project, in which the developers from Notch worked together with the know-how experts and the Scrum team from STRABAG. We said we needed a Java web application and gave a few general guidelines, but Notch made all the technology decisions, and in addition to development, Notch has also helped us to acquire the know-how for agile software development.”
